3-2-1 Code It! 2026 Edition 14th Edition by Michelle A. Green/Tierney Beebe/Traci Brochard/Anita Hazelwood

Overview

Green/Beebe/Brochard/Hazelwood's "3-2-1 Code It! 2026 Edition," with MindTap digital learning solution, provides beginning coders with an introduction to today’s medical coding. Annual updates provide current information, reflecting the latest changes to the ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT® and HCPCS Level II code sets. Students begin with diagnosis coding and gradually advance to coding procedures and services. Chapters review inpatient and outpatient coding and differentiate general and specific ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS Level II and CPT coding and guidelines. Examples, Key Terms and printed and digital practice resources reinforce learning of key skills and competencies. Computer-assisted coding cases and professional encoder software prepare students for entry-level coding positions and professional coding credentials -- bridging classroom learning with practical, career-ready skills.
