  • The all-new "Investigación y presentación" section guides students through a series of critical-thinking activities, beginning with the analysis of a geo-culturally focused reading, then leading them to consider relevant cultural comparisons, and culminating with the application of their exploration in a project.
  • The fully revised "Repaso" section reviews all grammar points to ensure a successful transition from introductory to intermediate-level communication.
  • Listening strategies in the "A escuchar" sections provide students with the guidance they need to successfully navigate the nuances of aural comprehension.
  • Interactive task-based practice for pair and small-group work fosters creative expression.
  • A practical approach to building active vocabulary encourages students to create personal lexicons and to broaden their vocabulary base by using optional words and expressions to complete chapter assignments.
  • Integration of grammar promotes resourceful use of language by presenting new Enlace grammatical review sections, correlated to the creative conversations in each chapter, which highlight and provide practice on a grammar point.
