Overview

Designed for individuals interested in athletics and the medical needs of athletes, France's INTRODUCTION TO SPORTS MEDICINE AND ATHLETIC TRAINING, 3rd Edition, is the first full-concept book that can serve as the basis for an entire course. Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Anatomy and Physiology are presented in an easy-to-understand format that allows the reader to grasp functional concepts of the body and then apply that knowledge to Sports Medicine and Athletic Training practices. Coverage of Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Kinesiology and therapeutic modalities is combined with the latest research, concussion protocols and guidelines for First Aid, CPR and AED. Vivid illustrations, photos, artwork and diagrams bring chapter concepts to life, while real-world insight into a wide range of Sports Medicine careers helps students think well beyond the course.
