David L. Irwin

David L. Irwin, received his Ph.D. in Communication Disorders from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, M.S. and B.S.E. in Speech Pathology from Central Missouri State University. He is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, holds Honors of the Association from the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a member of Alpha Eta Honor Society for Allied Health and Phi Kappa Phi. He has served as President, Editor and Chair of the Continuing Education Committee for the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Chair of the Communication Disorders and Sciences Leadership Group for states in Southern Region. He has co-authored with Dr. Pannbacker a chapter in a textbook about ethics in research and has received over $1.4 million in external grants.
