Katherine Miller

Dr. Katherine Miller, an expert in both organizational and health communication, received bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State University, and a doctorate from the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California. During her 30-year academic career, she served on the faculties of Michigan State University, the University of Kansas, Arizona State University and Texas A&M University. She has written three books and more than 60 journal articles and book chapters. Kathy now works as an independent writer and editor and, with her daughter, runs Hyperbole Bookstore, an independent bookstore in College Station, Texas.

Joshua Barbour

Dr. Joshua B. Barbour studies practitioners' strategic and macromorphic efforts to navigate and remake organizational and institutional structures. He received a bachelor's degree from The George Washington University and a master's degree and doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In twenty-five years in the academy, he has held faculty positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Austin, and he has authored over fifty articles, book chapters and other publications. He is currently a professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He lives in Champaign, IL with his partner, Jennifer, and his children, Henry and Hazel.
