Jack E. Ingels
Jack E. Ingels is a distinguished professor in the department of plant science at the State University of New York at Cobleskill. He is a member of the Associated Landscape Contractors of America and was named one of the top ten landscape educators in America by Lawn and Landscape magazine. Mr. Ingles has written numerous publications about ornamental horticulture.
Alissa F. Smith
Alissa F. Smith is the associate executive director of the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE), where she oversees professional development for agricultural educators at a national level. Prior to working at NAAE, Alissa was a classroom agriculture teacher in Central Kentucky, where she specialized in teaching horticulture and agriscience. She also developed curriculum and instructional material for high school agriculture classes, including landscaping and landscape design, greenhouse technology, and floriculture and floral design. In addition, Alissa worked to develop agriscience curriculum and served on state committees to develop an agriscience pathway in Kentucky. She completed her undergraduate degree in agriculture at the University of Kentucky, holds a teaching certification in agriculture grades 5-12, and earned her master’s degree in agriculture from the University of Kentucky.
