Amanda Gordon

Amanda joined National Geographic Learning after taking a one year overland trip through Africa and Europe. Her love for adventure and learning were the perfect fit for bringing the world to the classroom and the classroom to life with National Geographic Learning. Prior to her sales and consulting role with NGL, she worked as an elementary teacher in Abu Dhabi and Charlotte, North Carolina. When Amanda is not working with schools in the UAE, she is busy running, hiking, camping, and enjoying time with family.

Princess Lacewell

Princess holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Secondary Literacy. She has been an educator and school leader for over 10 years in public and private schools in both the United States and Internationally. Princess has extensive experience in curriculum design, professional development, data analysis, and the integration of English language development and academic literacy in all content areas. She also has vast experience in service learning and incorporating 21st Century Skills into teaching and learning having served as an International Baccalaureate Coordinator for many years. Princess is an Academic Engagement Consultant for National Geographic Learning and provides professional development for curriculum, teaching, and learning across the GCC Region and Europe.

DaVida Alston-Smith

DaVida brings to National Geographic Learning over 25 years of experience as a transformational educator, leading both Districts and Schools both in the United States and internationally. DaVida’s career as an educator spans across all levels inclusive of Classroom Teacher, Teacher Leadership positions, District Level Leadership Positions in Special Education,High School Vice Principal, and K – 12 Vice Principal in the UAE. Earning a master’s degree in education and specialist in Educational Leadership, DaVida’s vast experiences include curriculum development, building capacity among Teachers through research-based professional development, and producing positive outcomes for students. DaVida’s areas of expertise include targeted reading and literacy intervention, curriculum development and design, specialized instruction for diverse learners, and school improvement planning. She started her career at National Geographic Learning two years ago as an Engagement Academic Consultant for the GCC Region and currently holds the position as the K12 Professional Development and SalesManager for the GCC region. During her tenure at National Geographic Learning she has beeninvited to speak at key international conferences and supports schools throughout the GCC region. .
